Closed Issue: Dropdownlist don't autohide ? :( [10603]

I have a problem with hiding dropdownlist by manual. The first, I handler the event when click on dropdown item - the action is displaying a form (displayed form) . But when the form is displayed the dropdownlist still display front of displayed form until I click mouse on displayed form. :( . Can you show me how to customize a method to force hiding dropdownlist -

Closed Issue: Does not work in MDI parent forms [8214]

I am using Windows 7 Home with VS 2008 Pro (in a c#.net project) and am unable to get the control to work in a MDI parent window (isMDIContainer = true). I am using the Dock Panel suite in the desired application ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/dockpanelsuite/ ) and would like to use this as well, but believe to some extent the hooks interfere with one another - a greater issue is that even without the Dock Panel suite setting the control up in a MDI parent window results in either absolutely nonfunctional drawing or in (when BorderMode == NonClientAreaCustomDrawn) a fuzzy white border around the entire form that completely detracts from the appearance of the ribbon and the rest of the form. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I don't have much time to dig into this for a GUI feature, but great work otherwise for SDI applications.

When I have a maximized window and try to restore it, it's return with changed size.
I know it has to do with the non client area, but I don't know resolve it.

I was using version 0.3 and all was well, switch to the version 0.4 and when I put the mouse over the ribbon, my computer slows down.

I'm experiencing a kinda weird error under Windows 7 when I set my Ribboned window's inheritance class from Form to RibbonForm.
The context area overlay works, but still a weird error...

For those of you out there like me who contacted the author with no luck, I have taken this project on in an effort to complete it. As a VB/C# developer I have made quite a few changes to this control due to requirements of my application. As with most controls that get published they are working up to a point where it has all the features needed by the author but in many cases other developers need more. This was my case so I have taken this control further. I added a visible property to the tabs, panels, and buttons. I also created a new checkbox item and a spin up/down control and fixed bugs in the other items. All the items now show up in the designer as well. Finally, I upgraded the control to VS2008. I have made many other small changes here and there but cannot list them all here. I may create a web site in the future for this control and also the calendar control (I have made many chages to that one as well) as a source for further development and support. The current implementation has no functionality implemented to handle the Minimized state for the Ribbon.

A quick workaround can be the following change:

This will minimize the Ribbon as expected.

Closed Issue: Quick access bar does not hide when visible property set [4519]

Hi there,

I'm using the control at the moment without embedding it in the form's non client area as per my previous post (http://ribbon.codeplex.com/WorkItem/View.aspx?WorkItemId=4443). I've hidden the orb but the quick access remains visible even when the ribbon's quickaccessvisible property is set to false (it is empty).

Would it be at all possible to have an option to hide the 'title bar' strip at the top of the control? Because of the issue I previously encountered (as above) I am using a third party toolkit to achieve the 'chrome' effect and am happy to use the ribbon control without having it draw the form's borders for now.
